2022 Spring Mini Sessions: Flowers, A field and Golden Hour

A few weekends ago, I hosted Spring 2022 mini sessions and it went better than I ever could have imagined! I always get nervous before mini sessions- I'm always anxious about the weather not cooperating for weeks leading up to it but this day, the weather was absolute perfection! I was really hoping we would have a sunny day so I could capture some golden hour glow and the sun did not disappoint!

I love mini sessions because I work really well at a rapid fire pace and I have family shoots down to a science! I move through poses quick and when there are little ones involved, we do a LOT of playing! I like the back-to-back set up of mini sessions and I really look forward to them each season!

These families were a mixture of new and returning clients! Mini sessions are great because it gives new clients the option to test the waters with the photographer. Choosing a family photographer is a big decision! You want to choose someone that your kids respond well to and that you vibe with. Mini sessions are a great way to test out the experience! I am honored and humbled to say that so many new clients end up being returning clients and it's the best feeling ever!

I brought in some fresh flowers and a "luggy" basket use use as a prop this time around! I knew I really wanted to bring in flowers but wasn't sure how to incorporate them. The luggy basket that I gifted my daughter for Christmas this year was the PERFECT choice! It was a huge hit with the kids!
