Cozy In-Home Maternity Session in Philadelphia
I ventured into the city for this in-home maternity session on a rainy morning and had such a great time with Nhu & Dan!! And their two precious pups who were wearing matching sweaters and it was so adorable! If you know me, you know I am a bit of an anxious driver and driving into the city was....an adventure to say the least! So many one way streets and almost no parking- I don't get how people have cars in the city! I would probably find a parking space and then never leave again. Unless I had to for street cleaning, haha!
But regardless of my anxiety inducing drive, photographing this gorgeous couple was AMAZING! They have so many beautiful plants and greenery all over their apartment and a beautiful large front window facing the street. It was really fun to shoot in a more "urban" setting- I usually only shoot in nature preserves or fields in Chester County so this was a really fun and exciting chance of pace for me!
I really wanted to go with an editorial vibe for these photos because I knew I wouldn't get the "cottagecore" look like my usual sessions with an urban street in the background. I experimented with posing and using what was on hand- the mirrored coffee table, the hanging plants, the wall decor behind the couch. I love how they turned out!
